Prague’s streets change as dusk falls. The new travelling light installation Where are you heading? uses GOBO lamps to project questions onto the pavements, inviting people passing by to stop and think. The first lamps were lit in the Řepy housing estate and at the Nádraží Modřany bus stop, and they are gradually appearing in other places in Prague.
The name GOes Before Optics refers to the principle of light projections – a simple pattern through a template comes to life on city pavements and transforms them into unexpected galleries. The lamps do not impose answers, but open up a space for reflection and sharing of thoughts and emotions. GOBO lamps light up more than just the streets, but perhaps our inner light.
