Manifesto
Vision
What is the PRAHO! project?
„Through art and honest words we restore humanity to the places.“
Purpose
Why do we create PRAHO! project?
We strive to create spaces where genuine thoughts and authentic emotions can be shared — where society can meet again, across age, background, and perspective.
We believe that even in a world that feels fragmented and alienated, people can be much closer than it sometimes seems.
Our goal is to make art a natural part of everyday life — ever-present, evolving, and accessible to everyone. We search for ways to bring art back into the streets, into relationships, into conversations.
We create outcomes in diverse forms and formats — from ephemeral artistic interventions to long-term processes that grow, return, and transform over time. Each project is different, but all share the same foundation: dialogue, empathy, and humanity.
We care deeply about long-term impact. Our projects are not meant to end with an opening or a deadline — we want them to continue evolving, revisiting the people and places they have touched, and finding new forms of connection.
We plan ahead, nurture what already exists, and believe that repairing and returning can be just as creative as building something new.
Our work connects cities, artists, and communities — and transcends the borders of place.
The “city” is no longer only Prague; it is a symbol of openness, of meeting, of shared presence that reaches beyond geography.
Through art, words, and gestures, we aim to bring positive impulses, open new perspectives, and contribute to a more vibrant, sensitive, and culturally rich society.
Values
How do we create PRAHO! project?
Our project is built on five fundamental pillars – values. These serve as a solid foundation and support for all our activities and interactions. Despite the variability of individual values, they come together in our functioning, not excluding, but mutually reinforcing each other. The uniqueness of these values and their interconnection is the key to the project’s overall uniqueness.
Creativity: imagination – exploration – inspiration
We are inspired by the ideas and creativity of every person. By sharing our work, we invite others to think and see more creatively — to discover new perspectives, new possibilities, and new ways of connecting with the world.
Creativity for us is not just a means of expression, but a way of being: a way of being present and open to change.
Expression of the value in practice:
- We seek new opportunities across themes, techniques, and formats.
- We give space to diverse voices and approaches.
- We explore new forms of communication with residents, audiences, and communities.
- Our work is playful and interactive — and we care deeply about creating an environment where everyone feels good together.
Humanness: togetherness – connection – kindness
We support understanding, togetherness, and dialogue between people and perspectives.
We remind ourselves and others that even in the anonymity of the city, closeness still exists — in gestures, in words, in shared experience.
Expression of the value in practice:
- We approach all our work with kindness, openness, and respect.
- We open topics that are sensitive, emotional, and often fragile.
- We are a collective spread across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and beyond; we stay connected through both in-person and online exchange.
- Communication is our bridge — between us, and between us and our audiences.
- Within the collective, relationships matter more than performance: we are friends who create together.
Inclusion: openness – diversity – accessibility
We open our space to people, ideas, and forms without predefined limits.
Diversity is not a criterion by which we choose — it is a natural part of the world we create within.
We believe that the meaning of art is fulfilled only when it becomes an experience: when someone lives it, thinks about it, or is changed by it.
Just like a book that is complete only when read, our work becomes whole only when it meets its reader, viewer, or passer-by.
Expression of the value in practice:
- We see art as a shared process, not a one-way statement.
- We strive to make our work accessible and understandable — physically, linguistically, and mentally.
- We treat differences in approach, language, and experience as a source of inspiration, not exception.
- We do not define who “belongs” — we look for ways to be together.
Freedom: innovation – liberation – liberty
We believe in freedom of thought, expression, and creation.
Art is, for us, a way to escape routine, find new beginnings, and free ourselves from established patterns.
Through shared artistic and emotional experience, we open space for transformation — personal and collective.
Expression of the value in practice:
- Every member of our collective has the freedom to create in their own way.
- Our structure is flexible and non-hierarchical, shaped by the needs of people and projects.
- Our intention is open-ended — there are no final forms, only continuous movement and evolution.
Long-term vision: return – care – continuity
PRAHO! project grows in time. We believe that repairing, returning, and sustaining are as valuable as creating something new. We take care of the places, people, and ideas we have already touched. We revisit them, follow their transformation, and continue the dialogue.
Our work is not a one-time intervention but part of an ongoing story — a continuous relationship between art, city, and community.
Expression of the value in practice:
- We build projects with long-term thinking and sustainability in mind.
- We plan ahead while staying open to change.
- We return to the spaces and contexts where we have worked before, with a strong focus on community — nurturing relationships, dialogue, and continuity.
- We believe that maintenance, care, and continuation are creative acts.
