Who was the last person to break your heart? And how does it sit with you now?

These are questions you don’t just walk past. They stop you, even when you’re on your way somewhere else. Questions like these are part of our newly restored work Queer All Year — and they aren’t there by accident. They came out of a need to give queer experience a permanent place in public space.

The sentences on the underpass wall aren’t only there to make you think.
They are a quiet reminder that everyone passing through has the same right to feel, to speak, and to be heard.

A city isn’t just a plan drawn up by urbanists. It is, above all, a place for dialogue, for closeness, and for the voices that shape it just as much as the people who designed it.

But even places of openness are subject to time.
Sometimes they go grey, and time takes its toll.

Are you hiding something from other people?

Every sentence in QAY belongs to someone. The work was made for people and by people, as a testament to shared strength and to the courage it takes to say something out loud.

And we don’t want those voices to simply disappear.

On Friday 19 June we gathered at Fügnerovo náměstí to celebrate the successful restoration of Queer All Year and to close our crowdfunding campaign on Darujme. Every crown spent on repairing QAY was raised through our first fundraising campaign, and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

At 18:00 the performance by Azolla Collective began — a Prague group working in site-specific art — followed by DJ Aros. We had paints, stencils and wall ink ready, and anyone who wanted to could take part in the interactive section of the installation and answer a question.
It was an evening that would never have happened without your support and your enthusiasm.

Together we are giving places their humanity back. Together we are making a space open to everyone.

Thank you for being in it with us!
