The artistic intervention Máš čas? (Do You Have Time?), created in collaboration with Nina Sibinská at the Kačerov metro station, draws on the historical context of the site while responding to the nature of the metro as a space of constant movement, urgency, and transit.
The installation enters the everyday reality of commuters, subtly disrupting its rhythm with a simple yet essential question. In an environment where time usually just passes by, rarely pausing, it creates a moment for slowing down and reflection.
The visual concept of the intervention is inspired by the relief by Vladislav Gajda located in the station’s foyer. This dialogue with an existing artwork connects past and present, situating the contemporary intervention within a broader spatial and historical context.
What originally emerged as a temporary intervention in a transit space now takes on a new dimension. Máš čas? moves beyond the physical boundaries of the metro station and continues in the form of a TV spot on ČT art, broadcast between programs.
The intervention thus enters another layer of public space—this time through screens—reaching audiences in a different time and context. The question “Do you have time?” no longer remains tied to a single place, but continues to resonate, opening up new meanings.
