A new installation by PRAHO! project titled Where to? has recently been created inside the Prague Congress Centre.

It is a simple question. And perhaps that is exactly why it feels so strong.

The work uses language as a material. A short sentence appears directly in a space that people pass through every day. It is not a gallery installation, nor a place people would normally come to specifically for art. Rather, it is a small moment that appears in the middle of an ordinary day.

The question Where to? is placed on a wall inside the building. It is subtle, yet difficult to overlook. People pass by it on their way to work, to meetings, or simply moving between floors.

This intervention is also part of a larger project called crossroads, located in the public space outside the building. The outdoor installation works with a similar idea: a moment of pause in the middle of movement through the city, at a place where people’s paths cross.

And it is precisely in such moments that we are interested in what happens when a simple question appears in space.

Where to?

Where are we going?
Where are we heading right now?
Where do our steps actually lead?

Perhaps even more important than the answer is the moment when the question briefly meets someone passing by. Sometimes a single short sentence is enough to slightly shift the space around us.
