Privacy Policy

The controller of personal data is PRAHO! project, Company ID No.: 19347197, with its registered office at Korunní 2569/108, Vinohrady, 101 00 Prague 10, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. C 331572.

The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the “GDPR”).

Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Communication with you

Responding to inquiries, coordinating participation, organising activities.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest).

Statistical and analytical purposes

Impact evaluation and anonymised statistical reporting.

Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Artistic projects and use of statements

Anonymous statements may be used in installations, publications, research outputs, and artistic projects.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Newsletter and marketing communication

Only if you voluntarily subscribe.

Legal basis: consent.

Fulfilling legal obligations

Accounting, tax, and contractual archival requirements.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Categories of Data Recipients

Your personal data may be shared only with trusted partners necessary for the operation of our organisation:

  • Website hosting providers and IT service providers
  • Analytics and technical tool providers
  • Project partners involved in a specific activity, where necessary
  • Accounting and administrative service providers (only if required)

Data are not transferred outside the EU unless required by a specific project and only with GDPR-compliant safeguards.

Data Retention Periods

We retain data only for the necessary duration:

  • Communication data: 12 months after last contact
  • Form responses & statements: up to 5 years (or until consent is withdrawn)
  • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe
  • Accounting documents: 10 years (statutory requirement)

After these periods, data are deleted or anonymised.

Voluntary Consent and Right to Withdraw

Providing consent is always voluntary, and you may withdraw it at any time by:

  • e-mailing info@prahoproject.com
  • unsubscribing from newsletters via the link provided
  • requesting deletion of your data or statements

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • rectify inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • restrict processing
  • obtain data portability
  • object to processing

You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (ÚOOÚ).

Forms and Consent Requirements

Every form on our website that collects personal data includes:

  • an active checkbox expressing consent
  • a direct link to this Privacy Policy
  • a clear explanation of the purpose of data collection

Use of Statements in Artistic Projects

If a form collects narratives or creative inputs:

  • all statements are processed anonymously
  • no identifying data are attached to published content
  • publication occurs only with explicit consent
