Opening Invitation: crossroads Art Installation
PRAHO! project, in collaboration with the Prague Congress Centre, has created a new art installation titled crossroads, located on the northern terraces of the PCC. This piece reflects the themes of journey and connection—between past and present, between places, and between people. Visually, it draws inspiration from maps, signposts, and circular traffic signs, symbolizing orientation both in physical space and in life itself.
We warmly invite you to the official opening of crossroads, which will take place on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 PMon the northern terraces of the Prague Congress Centre. The installation is publicly accessible, barrier-free, and features statements in Czech, English, and five other languages. With this multilingual approach, we aim to reach a broad audience across generations, social backgrounds, and cultural contexts—emphasizing intergenerational dialogue, connection, and the search for direction in today’s divided society.

About the installation
crossroads reflects the voices, thoughts, and emotions of Prague 4 residents and visitors to the PCC. Over a period of five months, we collected testimonies both onsite and online through social media and the PRAHO! project’s internal platform. The goal of the installation is to enrich public space with visual and interactive elements that spark discussion, inspire self-reflection, and foster community engagement—while allowing viewers to interact with the installation throughout its entire duration.
Located in the publicly accessible northern terraces of the PCC, the installation explores themes of journey, decision-making, connection, and direction. Visually, it is inspired by roads, maps, signposts, and circular traffic signs that point the way, while also leaving room for discovery.
The crossroads installation is divided into three thematic sections: WHERE FROM / WHICH WAY / WHERE TO. Each section offers a different perspective on the transformation of art, culture, community, and the self. You can engage with the installation both onsite and online through QR codes that lead to interactive web content.
WHERE FROM connects the history of the place with personal reflection. It features texts about the PCC’s history, a video tour with Matouš Pudil, and invites you to answer the question: Who or what has led you to your current path?
WHICH WAY focuses on the present moment and the emotions associated with the location. It includes authentic video interviews filmed around the PCC and an interactive form with the question: What is your relationship to this place?
WHERE TO looks toward the future and personal growth. It offers a therapeutic intervention by psychologist Kateřina Moric, who guides you through a process of self-reflection and value clarification. The guiding question is: What are you hoping for now?
